Listen, hear my words

Listen, hear my words. Listen. My heart is bursting, the child inside of me screaming ‘Let me out. Let me fly. Let me be me!' I ask you one thing. Listen, hear my words.

Words, words, spoken words.
Like a storm brewing inside of you, just waiting to explode.
You try to reach deep inside but something is pulling you backwards. Forever thinking you are stuck in the quicksand.

Time, time, wasted time.
Going backwards and forwards, forwards and backwards.
Finding the strength to speak out but no one will listen.

Listen, hear my words, take notice of my voice, my heart, my soul, me.
Take notice of the people around you who sacrifice their happiness.
Stop for a second, get your head out of the clouds and listen. Learn to love, learn to accept differences, learn to stand up and fight.

Fight, flight or freeze.
My heart is bursting into a thousand pieces, my chest is heavy, my hands are shaking, the child inside of me is screaming ‘Let me out!’
Let me fly.
Let me be me.

As I stand here before you,
I ask you one thing.
Listen.
Just listen.
