Poem--The-end-pin - I thought I’d got rid of you, yet here you are again trying to force your way back to me trying to feed off my pain but I promised myself that you had gone.

I try and put you in my past
But you never leave, always there a constant reminder
Of who I used to be

I wake up full of joy and hope
Finally my world is bright
Finally I’ve found myself
I’m ready this time
To face another fight
So go ahead and challenge me
But you’ll see that I see through different eyes

My guilt is finally laid to rest
There is no more you can do to me
But I know you’ll try
I can feel you there
Trying to make me weak, clawing at me
You won’t succeed

Not only have I found myself but someone helped me
They made me see what was real and true
They helped set me free
They wrapped me in their arms

You began to lose your charm
You begin to lose me
You begin to become a less part of me

So come on anxiety
Try your best
Try and spoil another day for me
I’ve got my tools ready for the test
And I know I will beat you now
You can no longer win this fight
You did your worst and damaged me
But now I see the light
Now I see you

Goodbye anxiety, good riddance
Don’t try and return
The story of you and me is done
The book is finally finished.

Hope
