By Clara Rose
I woke up refreshed, I am okay.
Spent time doing my hair, I am okay.
Sang along with the radio, I am okay.
Finished my coursework, I am okay.
Ate lunch with my friends, I am okay.
Laughed at some jokes, I am okay.
Made plans for the weekend, I am okay.
Smiled at a stranger, I am okay.
Had a great gym session, I am okay.
Cooked a fresh dinner, I am okay.
Caught up with my parents, I am okay.
Read a good book, I am okay.
I am okay.
They see I am okay.
I must be okay.
But am I okay?
Did not eat a crumb, yet I must be okay.
Felt disgusted by my reflection, I must be okay.
An hour crying alone, yet I must be okay.
Covered my newly scarred skin, yet I must be okay.
I made the world see I was okay today,
But okay was not what I was today.
