The first time I called the Samaritans was from a payphone. The payphone was at the bottom of the stairs in a homeless shelter. It was late at night. A Samaritan answered.
I don’t remember how long it took for me to speak, and I don’t remember how long the call was.

The Samaritans. The first time I called the Samaritans was from a payphone at the bottom of the stairs in a homeless shelter. It was late at night. A Samaritan answered.

Remember to Call

‘I don’t know who you are, or where you are, but I’m sending you a telephone hug’.

I remember calling the Samaritans to talk about how hopeless I felt.
I remember calling the Samaritans to talk about how overwhelmed I felt.
I remember calling the Samaritans to talk about how worthless I felt.

I remember calling the Samaritans and having a 3-hour phone call.
I remember the Samaritans calling me back.

Remember,
