Bipolar is awesome! I’ll tell you to your face
You end up with a wardrobe of clothes you couldn’t afford in the first place
Lovers who think you’re a sex Goddess who can’t get enough of you
Until you plummet the other way and become blue.
Then they’re off out the door. It’s true!

Medication that makes you fat
Oh yeah, we all love that
An incurable condition, you have it for life
Bringing you decades of trouble and strife

Refusing to wallow in your own pity party
Just squinting to the horizon for better days
That you trust and hope will be on their way
Hospital admissions and yeah, it’s not the worst place I’ve been
It’s a good place to let off steam

Butlins does Eastenders or Fight Club in a way
Until you’re pinned down by nurses and thrown in solitary for days
Being a lyrical genius with ideas of grandeur
Until they ram a needle in yer

Then comes the crash
Longing for your life to be over in a flash
Now maybe you can understand why I don’t give a fuck
If you don’t like me much.
I’m fighting my own serious battle day in day out
