Painting a picture

Read Time:44 Second
By The Crafty Cow

If a picture paints a thousand words
Then I must learn to draw,
‘Cause you don’t seem to hear my words
Or know what I chose them for.

But I don’t have the skill of painting
A picture with my hands,
I’ve only ever known how to speak
To no one who understands.

If you promise me you’ll try and listen
And not judge the things I say,
I promise I’ll paint you that picture and,
Hopefully we’ll meet halfway.

As of yet I have no brush or canvas
Or paint with which to start,
But I’ll keep fighting every single day
To produce a work of art,

Until the image has been completed
And you come to understand,
I’ll be painting you a picture when I die,
With the paintbrush in my hand.
