This one is for you. You know who you are. The you who is keeping all kinds of secrets: not telling me how you really feel, not telling me you’re struggling, not telling me about that grey cloud hanging over your head.
This one is for you. The you who is constantly crying, yet putting on a smile every time you leave your house… because lying about how you feel is better than telling the truth and facing the darkness. I get it, though, and you know I do. But, our darkest thoughts should never be kept silent and demons should not be fought alone.
Picture something beautiful
This one is for you. The you who sometimes feels like the whole world is against you. You use anger to express yourself because your emotions become overwhelming. Trust me, I understand that too. But please, can you do something for me? When you feel angry, close your eyes and picture something beautiful. Anything. Take a deep breath, and another after that.
This one is for you. The you who is stuck deep into this dark hole. I know you’re having trouble getting out. But don’t worry, I have a ladder. A ladder that can help you get out, and even if it takes time, I don’t care. I refuse to give up on you. You never did.
Your fight is my fight
This one is for you. The you I will always help fight with whatever it is that you have to fight. Sadness, depression, dark thoughts, I will always be there. Your fight is my fight and your pain is my pain. When you feel like you’re drowning, I promise to be the person to help you breathe. I will help you find your way back to shore and you will never have to swim alone.
This one is for you. The you I love with all my heart.
